Do You Access EH Systems Remotely? Important Changes Coming.

To help maintain the privacy and security of patient records and IT systems, Englewood Health is introducing “two-factor authentication” for remote access to Citrix and Epic. The new access process will be introduced on January 30 and will become mandatory on February 13. Providers should enroll in the new process soon to prevent disruption to their access.

When the change is implemented, users who access Englewood Health IT systems through Citrix from home will be required to authenticate their identity in two ways: computer and mobile device. When you log into Citrix with your normal credentials, you will then need to confirm your login attempt via your mobile device in order to proceed. Every time you log in, you will receive a notification on your mobile device to approve the login. This new process does not apply to remote access from our practices or off-sites.

Approving the login attempt is simple, but you must first register your mobile device and download the Imprivata app.
